Return Policy
At Hey Joanie, we want you to love your denim as much as we do! If something doesn’t work out, no worries — we’re here to make your return as easy as possible.

1. Regular Priced Merchandise
For U.S. and Canada Orders
You may return regular-priced items within 14 days from the shipping date for a refund to your original payment method or store credit.
If you choose a refund to your original payment method, an $8 return shipping fee will be deducted — this covers the prepaid return label we provide.
Returns for store credit are eligible for free return shipping.
Between 14–30 days from the shipping date, you may still return your item for store credit or exchange it, with an $8 return shipping fee deducted.
After 30 days, we’re unable to accept returns.
We don’t currently offer direct exchanges. If you’d like a different size or style, please place a new order and return your original item for a refund.
If the returned item is not in its original, resale-ready condition (e.g., noticeably wrinkled, worn, damaged, or requiring extra processing such as steaming), we reserve the right to assess a restocking fee.
For Orders Outside the U.S. and Canada
We currently don’t have local return facilities outside North America, so international customers will need to arrange return shipping at their own cost.
In this case, we will not deduct any return shipping fee — a full refund will be issued once we receive and inspect your return.
We know this isn’t as simple as a local return, and we truly appreciate your understanding and support as a growing global brand.
2. Sale Merchandise
For sale items marked with a discount of less than 50%, returns or exchanges for store credit are accepted within 14 days from the shipping date.
For U.S. and Canada orders, an $8 return shipping fee applies (covering the prepaid return label).
For international orders, customers are responsible for return shipping, and no deduction will be made from the refund.
Sale items marked 50% off or more are Final Sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
What qualifies as “Sale”
Sale merchandise includes any items purchased during sitewide promotions, seasonal sales, or special events, including but not limited to Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Holiday Sales, and limited-time promotional codes.
3. Return & Exchange Conditions
For all returns or exchanges:

Items must not be washed, worn or damaged.

All original tags must be attached.

You must present a valid receipt.
We are not responsible for items not received due to shipping issues while in transit.
Gift Cards
Gift cards may not be redeemed for cash or refunded unless required by law. All returned items purchased using a gift card will be refunded as merchandise credit back onto a gift card deducting the $8 return shipping fee.
4. Prepare your return
To start your return, please contact us at customerservice@heyjoanie.com with the details of the items you’d like to return.
We’d also love to know the reason for your return — your feedback truly helps us make our jeans better for you.
Once your request is approved, we’ll email you a prepaid return label (for U.S. and Canada orders) or confirm the return address for international shipments.
When we receive and inspect your return, we’ll send you an email notification regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method.
Please allow 1–5 business days for your return to be processed after it arrives at our facility.
5. High-Volume Try-On Orders
To keep our return program fair and sustainable, we apply a restocking and handling fee to excessive multi-item returns.
- If three (3) or more denim items from the same order are returned, a restocking and handling fee equal to 8% of the returned merchandise value will be deducted from the refund.
This fee helps cover inbound shipping, quality inspection, steaming, re-packing, and re-stocking costs associated with high-volume try-on orders.
Size Exchange Waiver
If you are returning items in order to re-purchase a different size of the same style, this restocking fee will be waived, provided that the replacement order is placed within 7 days of initiating the return.
Wholesale, Styling & Sample Orders
If you are ordering multiple pairs for wholesale, editorial, styling, PR, or fitting purposes, please contact us in advance at:
